She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Davis and Nancy Stanley Davis; her husband Edson Earl Harper, Sr.; her son Edson Earl Harper, Jr.; and her siblings, Elizabeth Marie Davis, Edna Harper (Jack), Reba Howell (Frank), Ruth Howard (Bob), Maurice Davis (Hazel) and Horace Davis (Laura).

She is survived by: her son Leslie Earl Harper (Dina) of Woodington Township; her grandchildren, Jackson Earl Harper (Lauren) of Winterville, Joshua Simpson Harper (Ashley) of Goldsboro, John Blake Harper of Woodington Township and Josie Harper Simpson (Noah) of Beulaville; her great grandchildren, Heidi Reese Harper, Beau Thomas Harper, Emerson Louise Harper and Pender Van Harper; and her daughter-in-law Mona Norris Williams. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Howard - Carter Funeral Home (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at the Westview Cemetery (2681 Hillcrest Rd, Kinston, NC 28504).
