She was predeceased by: her parents, Fritz Morehead and Margaret Gold Morehead; her husband Charles Josey; her granddaughter Rachel Swink; and her siblings, Bob, Bill, Pete, Rube, Tom, Mae, Brenda and Phyllis.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Josey (Suzy) of Maiden, Amy Josey of Maiden and Margaret Lutz (Keith) of Maiden; her brother Phil Morehead of Cherryville; her grandchildren, Keith Gooden, Charlie Josey and Tommi Chapman; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Christian, Alyson, Hailey, Carin, Samantha and Sophie; her great great grandchildren, Jaxton and Wesley; her grandchildren, Gary, Bryan and Allison; and her great great grandchildren, Tori, Thomas, Brock, Kaleb, Elijah, Steven, Tristan, Rylan and Declan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Mt. Anderson Baptist Church (4818 NC-16, Maiden, NC 28650). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
