He is survived by: his children, Celina Hayes of Mooresville and Elliott Hayes, Jr. (Sydney) of Hinesville Georgia; his siblings, Loretta Kennedy, Wendy Kennedy (Johnny Ramseur) of Newton, Jacqueline Kennedy of Maryland, Rita Thompson of Elizabethtown, NC, Chena Hopkins of Houston, TX, Tammy Mutz (Clay) of Hickory and Rushie Kennedy, Jr. of Hickory; and his grandchildren, Major Hayes, Neveah Clayton, Jacorion Hayes, Jarrell Powell, Jaceion Hayes, Anylaa Mason, Kari Hayes, Aaron Jordon, Railynn Hayes, Zayden Rhynes and Skylar Rhynes.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the Burke Mortuary Chapel- Newton (2516 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
