He was predeceased by : his parents, Ted Dale and Bonnie Davis Dale; and his brothers, Truett Dale, Bennett Dale and Dowell Dale.

He is survived by : his wife Gloria Jean Jones Dale; his son Jeff Dale of Maiden; and his sister LuAnne Sherrill (Richard) of Sherrills Ford.
