With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Franklin Myers Armstrong of Maiden, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 16, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Armstrong and Frances Michael Armstrong; his former wife Judy Armstrong; his wife Carolyn Armstrong; and his brothers, David, John and Marvin Armstrong.
He is survived by: his children, Katherine Armstrong (Michael Danner) of Maiden and Michael Armstrong of Catawba; his grandchildren, Cameron Johnson, Heather Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Caleb Armstrong, Devon Armstrong and Cassidy Armstrong; his great grandchildren, Jameson Armstrong, Charlotte Armstrong, Wyatt Johnson and Chastity Ebert; and his siblings, Henry Armstrong (Lynn) of High Shoals, Kemp Armstrong of Maiden and Ruth Rudisill of Maiden.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, an organization close to Franklin's heart, in honor of loved ones he lost and those still fighting.
