Gerald Moore wrote a sympathy message

“It was with great sadness that I learned of Jack's accident and subsequent passing. He was a great friend of his Maiden High School classmates and was instrumental in keeping us all informed of the whereabouts of our classmates. He was also a great athlete and the star in many Maiden victories during the 60's. I will miss his phone calls and reminiscing about "old times" but more than that I know his family and friends will sorely miss his love, laughter and pride that he shared so often.”
