It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Travis of Maiden, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on April 14, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Travis and Lola Knight Travis; his wife Nancy Jenkins Travis; his granddaughter Stephanie Travis; and his sisters, Edith Sanford and Minnie Beard.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Travis Biggerstaff and James Edward Travis, Jr. (Chuck); his grandchildren, Brandon Biggerstaff and Kristina Biggerstaff; and his great grandchildren, Lexis Crain, Liam Biggerstaff and Weston Biggerstaff.
