He was predeceased by: his parents, William David Petersen and Francis King Petersen. He is survived by: his wife Lucinda Petersen; his children, David Petersen (Katherine) of Ohio and Jennifer Petersen of Maiden; and his siblings, Jim Petersen of Myrtle Beach, Bill Petersen of Utah, Fran Brackett of California, Florrie Petersen of Utah and Betty Petersen of Utah.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the BURKE MORTUARY & CREMATORY (1101 E Maiden Rd, Maiden, NC 28650). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Burke Mortuary Chapel-Maiden (1101 E Maiden Rd, Maiden, NC 28650).
