He is survived by: his wife Natine Caldwell Laney; his children, Michael Laney (Amanda) of Maiden, Cheree L. Schon (Mike) of York, SC and Tiffany L Thatcher of Denver, NC.; his grandchildren, Justin Laney of Maiden, Alan Thatcher of Denver, Dustin Reynolds of Lincolnton, James Thatcher of Maiden and Gina Moore of Clover; and his great grandchildren, Gage, Camden, Nick, Garrett, Jordyn and Dean.
