It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan Bell Jr. of Manteo, North Carolina, born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon A. Sr. Bell (Bill) and Pauline Hubbard Bell (Polly); and his siblings, Robert Stephen Bell and Paula Bell Bridgers. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Cammer-Bell; his stepdaughter Mary Speer Crews (Joe) of Durham; his granddaughter Amaya Crews; his brother John David Bell (Mary Evelyn) of Chesapeake; and his brother-in-law Jimmie Bridgers of Conway, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great-nephews.
