He is survived by: his son Wyatt Tillett; his granddaughters, Emmalyn Grace Tillett and Miley Dough; his parents, Rondal Hughes and Janice Scarborough Tillett; his granddaughter Shaylynn Dough; his stepchildren, Christin Stroud and Dustin Stroud (Mandy); his sister Julie Owens (R. V. Owens); his nephew Bo Owens (Kayla); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cora and Bo; his niece Shanonn Owens Gilliam (Noah Gilliam); Laura, Parker, Taylor, Logan, Blaze and Faith.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Manteo First Assembly (812 Wingina Ave, Manteo, NC 27954). A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
