He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie J. Pickett and Helen Marshburn Pickett; and his siblings, James Pickett (Billy) and Johnnie Mae Holloway. He is survived by: his children, Leander Pickett, Lewis Pickett Jr. and Allison Pickett; his siblings, Wilma Rich and Jimmie Lee Pickett; and his grandchildren, Aanjalei Pickett, Kadence Pickett, Lyric Pickett, Ava Pickett, Jakovi Pickett, Khylen Boyd and Jaxon McNeal. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, family members, and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lee's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (7501 NC-50, Maple Hill, NC 28454).
