It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thelma Irene Moyer Scott (Maple, North Carolina), born in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Stanley Moyer and Dorothy Moyer of Quakertown; and her sister Sylvia Angstadt (Jim). She is survived by: her husband Thomas Scott of Currituck, NC; her brothers, Thomas Moyer (Judy) of Telford, PA and David Moyer (Jill) of Quakertown, PA; her children, John Scott of Chesapeake, VA, James Scott (Karen) of Bent Mountain, VA, Mary Scott of Duck, NC, Michael Scott of Bent Mountain, VA and Paul Scott (Ana Maria) of Williamsburg, VA; and her grandchildren, Keisha Scott (Danh) of Chester Springs, PA, Shenandoah Gillespie of Bent Mountain, VA, Bobbie Lynn Scott Walker (Doug) of Los Ojos, NM, Frederick Scott (Rebeca) of Bent Mountain, VA, Xavier Scott (Megan) of Chesapeake, VA, Thomas, Madison Scott of Chesapeake, VA and Lukas Brown of Williamsburg, VA. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church (154 Maple Rd, Maple, NC 27956).
