He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Paul and Hattie Mae Sherlin Swanson; and his siblings, Ed Swanson, Bettey Swanson, Herman Swanson, Emma Radford (Virgil) and Jimmy Swanson.
He is survived by: his brothers, Carl Swanson (Elaine) of Marble and Henry Swanson of Murphy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew, and great great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Tomotla Community Cemetery.
