He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Jean Bettis Martin; and his brother Jerry Martin. He is survived by: his sons, Jamie Martin (Shasta) of Marble, NC and Timmy Martin; his sisters, Linda Conley of Andrews, NC and Nancy Passmore of Climax, NC; and his grandchildren, Amber and Austin Martin.
