It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Joanne Sharp Rogers of Marble, North Carolina, who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Leonard Sharp and Flora Gregory Sharp; her husband Kenneth "Buck" Rogers; and her siblings, Emon Suits, Alonzo Sharp, Pauline Reece, Helen May, Mildred Raxter, Gladys Raxter, Lee Sharp, Eugene Sharp and Dorothy Sharp.
She is survived by : her children, Dianne Wells, Kenny Rogers and Gary Rogers (Teresa); her grandchildren, Courtney Allen-Grant (Trevor), Ashley Rogers (York Henderson), Dakota Rogers (Jessie), Brittany Carroll, Rance Rogers (Mackenzie), Hailey Raxter and Shane Rogers (Taylor); her great grandchild Fisher Grant; her grandchildren, Sophia, Eliza, Liam, Lincoln, Rosalie Joanne Carroll, Mayleigh, Braxton, Easton Rogers and Jack Henderson; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Rogers McColley and Dot Sharp. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Mary Joanne Sharp Rogers to the Truett Children's Home, 75 West Vineyard Drive, Hayesville, NC 28904.
