It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarai Ruth Barnett of Marble, North Carolina, who passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Glenn Ledford and Opalee Buchanan Ledford; her husband Kendall Barnett; and her siblings, Matthew Ledford and Helen Franklin.

She is survived by : her daughters, Hope Garett (Harold) of Hayesville, NC, April Roberson (Jeff) of Marble, NC and Vandia Sneed (Nathan) of Murphy, NC; and her stepchildren, Inas Couy (Scott) of Cartersville, Georgia and Stanley Barnett (Michelle) of Marble, NC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
