She was predeceased by: her mother Ruth Phillippi; her stepfather Virgil Phillippi; and her sister Verla Slaughter. She is survived by: her husband Sidney David Harkleroad; her son David Harkleroad (Michelle) of Jamestown, NC; her grandson Max Harkleroad of Jamestown, NC; her sister Shirley Dotson of Bristol, TN; her nephew Sam Dotson; and her nieces, Christa McDavid and Heather Leonard.
