It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Bailey Henson of Marion, North Carolina, born in Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Hardy M. Henson; his wife Madge Boone Hollifield Henson; his stepchildren, James Hollifield (Ellen), Linda Hollifield Elliott and Marie "Bootie" Hollifield Morretz; his brother Cleveland Henson (Josie); and his brother-in-law Emmett Buchanan.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bobby Henson, Sr. (Susan) of Tennessee, Viola Loftis (Robert) of Marion and Christie Buchanan of Valdese. He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
