Angela Tate Obituary

Angela "Boo" Tate, age 46, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019. The daughter of the late Larry Ray Tate, Sr. and Brenda Hill Tate, she was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on March 18, 1973. An avid cooker, Angela enjoyed working on vehicles with her husband, Eugene. Although she could not carry a tune, she loved to sing with her family.

She loved playing games on her cellphone. Angela had worked at IAC for 16 years. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Eugene Steptoe; three children, Dionna Tate, Angie Steptoe and Shawnice Steptoe; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by eleven siblings, Renee Tate, Michael Tate, Carla Carson, Corey Tate, Quria Tate, Brandon Tate, Timothy Dickey, Terrell Dickey, Lori Ledbetter, Shemay Ledbetter and Kelia Dickey ; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Interment will follow at McDowell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
