With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Beverly Lonon Foster (Marion, North Carolina), who passed away on May 13, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Guy Lonon and Ruth Goolsby Lonon; and her husband Norman Spencer Foster. She is survived by: her children, Deonne Gibbs (Thomas) of Marion, Kimberly Rumfelt and Spencer Foster of North Cove; her grandchildren, Charisse Allison (Zane), Honnalee Gibbs of Marion, Levi Rumfelt (Kim) of Glenwood, Teela Rumfelt (Taylor) of New York and Samantha Tate of North Cove; her great grandchildren, Elaina Jones (Tim) of Statesville, Autumn Freeman (Aaron) of Nebo, Eliza Tate of North Cove, Silas Allison of Marion and Xavier Rumfelt of Glenwood; and her great great grandchildren, Laynie Jones of Statesville and Rowan Freeman of Nebo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Westmoreland Chapel (198 S Main St, Marion, NC 28752). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at 2:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m. While flowers are appreciated, memorial donations are preferred and may be made to North Cove School - Beverly Lonon Foster Memorial, 402 American Thread Rd., Marion, NC 28752.
