He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Smith and Mae Flynn Smith; and his wife Linda Boyd Smith. He is survived by: his children, Marty Smith (Stephanie), Holly Smith (Craig Murdock) and Amanda Smith; and his grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Savannah Wilson (Dylan), Alex Smith, Abby Calhoun, Cole Calhoun, Austin Murdock and Ryan Murdock. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM and at 2:30 PM at the Snow Hill Cemetery (800 Snow Hill Cemetery Rd, Marion, NC 28752).
