It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Ann Watson Lewis (Marion, North Carolina), who passed away on November 10, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Doris Ann may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Parker Watson and Myrtle Burleson Watson; her husband John Lewis; her children, Gloria Jean Wyatt, Kenneth David Wyatt and Janet Lee; and her brother Dennis Watson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Grindstaff (Dan) and Angela Lewis (Micky); and her siblings, Sheila Buchanan, Sherrill Thomas and Jean Fisher. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at the Murphy's Chapel Cemetery (1189 Old Hwy 10 E, Marion, NC 28752).
