He is survived by: his wife Melba Lee Dugger Smith; his children, Carl Smith (Debbie), Jonas Smith, Carrie Wyatt (Carroll) and Thomas Wyatt; and his stepchildren, Kathy Moore (John) of Lenoir, Gloria Messer of Lenoir and David Hester (Wendy) of Lenoir. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.
