It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Cross III of Marion, North Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Cross, Jr. and Jeannette Gilkey Cross; and his wife Virginia McBee Cross. He is survived by: his children, Eugene "Chip" Cross IV (Penny), Paul Cross (Sherry) and Lynn Cross Walker (Erwin); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Rachel, Lucy, Camille, Joseph and Melanie; his siblings, Jeannette Cross, John Cross (Becky) and Kelly Cross; and his sisters-in-law, Marie Geouge and Helen Shimp. He is also survived by four nephews and three nieces.
