He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Seagle and Vera Goforth Seagle; his wife Polly Atkins Seagle; his grandson Jason Patrick Blanton; and his great grandchild Olivia Elliott.

He is survived by: his daughter Chris Blanton (Whit); his granddaughter Melissa Elliott (Michael); his great grandchild Audrey Elliott; and his cousins, Harold Seagle (Marie), Dottie Farris and Debbie Betz.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the East Marion United Methodist Church.
