He was predeceased by: his parents, Narl Smith and Velora Robinson Smith; and his sisters, Betty Smith Allison, Delores Ann Smith and Margaret Jean Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Harriett Hensley Smith; his daughters, Teresa Noblitt Proctor (John) and Denise Noblitt Freeman (Jerry); his siblings, Narl Robert Smith, Sandra Smith Boyd and Doris Susan "Susie" Smith; and his grandsons, Caleb Parker, Jeremy Freeman and Ethan Freeman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and four bonus great-grandchildren.
