He is survived by: his spouse Lessie Thomas Cody; his children, Joseph Eugene Cody (Tina) and Glenda Cody Garland (Lee); his siblings, Clyde Cody and Linda Rabon (Hal); his grandchildren, Christopher Garland (Leah), Angela Hedrick, Brandon Cody, Samuel Cody, Hunter Cody and Michael Smith; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Garland, Kiera McCall, Jessie Cody, Cody Hedrick and Cameron Hedrick.
