He was predeceased by: his father James Edward Boone; and his siblings, Nina Silvers, Glenna Ballew, J. B., Stanley and Charles Boone.

He is survived by: his siblings, Golda Peterson of Burnsville, Betty Lou McDougal (Basil) of Valdosta, Georgia and Butch Boone (Teresa) of Marion. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
