He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Forest Bower and Hazel Horne Bower; and his brother Charles Bower. He is survived by: his wife Mildred "Middy" K. Bower; his grandchildren, Arianna Bower, Donovann Bower, Jace Bower (Shannon), Priscilla Bower, Celia "CeCe" Bower, William "Will" Bower, Kathleen Wendt and Charles "Charlie" Wendt; his great grandchildren, Eden Bower and Selah Bower; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Bower and Becky Hayes (Manouchehr).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or Samaritans Purse.
