She was predeceased by: her father Jobie Johnson, Sr.; her husband James Earl Helms; and her daughter Marie Ollis. She is survived by: her mother Bessie Davis Johnson; and her children, Kay Whittington (H. A.), Greg Helms (Tonya), Lisa Helms, Chris Helms (Norma) and Scott Helms (Angela). She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren.
