He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurmond Creson and Carrie Carroll Creson; his brothers, Roy, Tommy and Billy; and his aunt Ruth Yule.
He is survived by: his wife Laura "Shine" Creson; his sister Peggy Davis; his sons, John (Brigitte) and Durwood (Cindy); and his grandchildren, Kandis, Emily (Lonnie), Jacob (Christy), Paige (Chris) and Lauren (Josh). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
