It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Daniels (Marion, North Carolina), born in Washington, North Carolina, who passed away on February 22, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Daniels and Amanda Baker Daniels. He is survived by: his wife Jonelle Thompson Daniels; and his children, Diana "DeeDee" Daniels Gardner (Gregg Scherb), Lisa Daniels Ellis (Patrick Ellis) and James Jason Daniels (Mary Beth Daniels). He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

Earl was instrumental in growing the foundation for Marion to become the beautiful little City it is today.
