He is survived by: his father Robert Broughton Whitfield; his wife Marie Grant Whitfield; his sons, Kevin Whitfield (Christy) and Brian Whitfield (Beth); and his sister Judy Ann Hicks (Eric).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Cross Memorial Baptist Church (15 Cross Memorial Baptist Church Loop, Marion, NC 28752). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
