He is survived by: his wife Elberta "Ann" Keene; his daughters, Janis Riddle and Beverly Chavers; and his grandchildren, Justin Riddle, Ashley Riddle, Gabriel Chavers and Kyleigh Chavers.
A graveside service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (962 Old US Hwy 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
