He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edwin Neal, Jr. and Pauline Moser Neal; and his brother Worth Neal. He is survived by: his children, Avery, McDowell, Mitchell and Yancey; his wife Dianne Honeycutt Neal; his children, Jo Neal Pittman (Garrett) of Fletcher, NC and Jay Neal (Stephanie) of Rocky Mount, NC; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pittman Johnson (Chris) and Jason Pittman; his sisters, Camilla Howes (Howie) of Rutherfordton and Jane Neal of Marion; his niece Jessica Howes; his nephew Jud Howes; and his pet Sadie.
