He is survived by: his wife Betsy Fleming of Marion; his sons, Zachary Eric Fleming (Megan Miller) of Spruce Pine and Richard Joseph Fleming (Jennifer Carver Fleming) of Marion; his grandchildren, Gabriel Neal Fleming, Madaline Lilly Ann Fleming, Riley Faith Dye, Tegan Exarian Dye and Shaedan Alexander Fleming; his great grandchild Waylen Parker Dye; his siblings, Melissa Ann Fleming of Germantown, Phillip Anthony Fleming of Mocksville, Penelope Lynn Kaplon of Greensboro and Joanna Flucher of King; and his friend Cecelia Rose Armstrong. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
