With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Lynn Winters Greene of Marion, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2025 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Winters and Marjorie Hughes Winters; and her brother Gary Dean Winters. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Emmette Greene; her children, Kimberly Greene Mitchell (Rafael), Brian Keith Greene and Heather Nicole Greene; and her grandchildren, Ethan Mitchell (Hannah), Hannah Woody (Dylan), Krista Wylie (Noah) and Marcus Mitchell.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Christian Church of Marion (1709 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Smoky Ridge or Medi Home Hospice.
