Lula Arvis Swepson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2022, at the age of 87, Lula Arvis Swepson (Marion, North Carolina), born in Old Fort, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Luther Logan; her husband Cecil Swepson Sr.; her sons, Todd Swepson, Cecil Swepson, Jr., Anthony Swepson, Jeffrey Swepson and Carl Bradford Swepson; her granddaughter Haleigh Alyssia Swepson; and her siblings, Ruby Boyce, Florine Hemphill, Lillie Mae Matthews, Louise Edmonds, Joe Edward Logan, James C. Logan, Luther Logan, Jr., Charlie Alphonzo Logan, Robert Logan, Harold Logan and Louie Logan.

She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Gloria Boyce (Larry) of Marion and Gail Williams of Marion; her daughter-in-law Yola Swepson of Nebo; and her sister Coretha Logan Lytle of Old Fort. She is also survived by nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorials be made to Mt. Zion AME Zion Church, 75 Zion Rd., Marion, NC 28752.
