She is survived by: her husband Ron Compton; her daughters, Ann (Karriem) of Marion, Natasha Powell (Simon) of Lenoir, Renee Hardy (Joseph Washington) of Marion and Letoya Largent (Terrence) of Marion; her siblings, Carl Roland (Joyce) of Marion and Becky Lewis of Marion; her aunt Eloise; her uncle Ed Byrd of Marion; and her cousin Brian Bryd of Marion.
