He was predeceased by: his father Grady Messer; his wife Lois Messer; and his siblings, James Messer, Ollie Arrowood and Dean Messer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn Messer Andrews (Michael) and Tonya Messer Johnson (David); his grandchildren, Ciara Buchanan, Dakota Eck, Tyler Messer and Brady Messer; and his great grandchildren, Cheyanna, Karli, Logan, Bentley, Harlow, Harper and Maisie.
