He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Watson and Ada Greer Watson of Avery County; his brothers, Delmar Watson, William Watson, Ernest Watson and Roy Watson, Jr.; and his son Danny "Dan" Watson of Marion. He is survived by : his children, Kathy "Elaine" Watson Shook of Marion, Richard "Dale" Watson of Charlotte and Beverly Watson of Marion; his grandsons, Jeremy Hoover, Joshua Watson, Justin Watson, Jeremiah Watson Aiden Watson, and Sam Douglas. One granddaughter, ZoeAnna and a great grandchild Kyleigh Jean Hoover. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
