He was predeceased by: his father William Russell Medders. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bolaños Medders; and his children, Rusty Medders (Beth) and Ronda Parker (Dean) of Michigan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to McDowell Mission Ministries or CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.
