With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Swepson Jenkins (Marion, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 4, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clinton Swepson and Maggie Mae Carson Swepson; and her husband Richard. She is survived by: her children, Thomasina Tate (Michael) of Asheville, Lauriece Jenkins of Marion, Richard "Byron" Jenkins of Marion, Francelia Jenkins of Marion and Rashelle Brown (Aaron) of Spindale. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 115 E. Wilhemenia Street, Marion, NC 28752.
