She is survived by: her husband Gideon Motley, Jr. of Marion; her brother Jimmy Rice of Simpsonville, SC; her children, David Howard (Anna) of Lexington, NC, Billy Howard and Kathy Howard of Fort Wayne, IN; and her stepdaughter Virginia Sloop (Marc) of Chapel Hill, NC.
