He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Dean Simmons and Miriam Glenn Bennett; his stepfather Lloyd D Bennett; his brother Wylie Dean Simmons; and his grandparents, Frank D. Glenn and Mildred C. Glenn.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Allison (Ronnie) and Scott Simmons (Eris); his former spouse Kay Simmons; his sister Susan Bennett Vick; his sister-in-law Nancy L. Beck (Jim); his grandchildren, Angel Lewis (Russell), Madison Davis (Justin), Landon Simmons, Logan Simmons, Jada Allison (Zack), Harley Allison (Maddison) and Carter Allison; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Lewis, Meredith Lewis and Oaklynn Wright.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
