She was predeceased by: her parents, James Perry Clayton, Sr. and Kathryn Lee Gurley Clayton; and her husband Randy Allen Smith. She is survived by: her children, Christina Smith-Willis (Bill), Rebecca DeHart (Gary) and Devan Smith (Nichole); her brothers, James Clayton, Jr. (Sandy), Chris Clayton (Elaine) and Ricky Clayton (Deidra); her grandchildren, Haley, Thomas (Kasey), Taylor, Jordan (Seth), Kirstin, Chase, Brian and Madison; and her great grandchildren, Braison, Avianna, Barrett, Sawyer, Maddic, Lyric, Jasper and Willow.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
