He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev T. W. Clapp and Nell Kesler Clapp; his former wife Vashti Dulin Clapp; and his daughter Katherine Marie Clapp. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Barrett; his children, T. Walton Clapp, III (Betty) of Raleigh, Rebecca Taylor (Ray) of Spruce Pine and Anne Brown (William) of Nebo; and his sister Jean Isaacs of Franklin, TN.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild.
