He was predeceased by: his parents, Onan Ervin Washburn and Shirley Boyd Washburn; his grandparents, Hesby, Bessie Washburn of Spruce Pine, Everett and Jessie Boyd of Marion; and his sister Valorie Washburn Hall.
He is survived by: his former wife Kathy Harris; his son Tyler Washburn; his siblings, Joe Ervin Washburn, Sr. and Penny Wood (Rick); and his caregiver Sam Bartlett.
