We announce the death of Virgil Bradburn Jr. (Marion, North Carolina), who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 91. Virgil will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Virgil Bradburn and Elma Bradburn; and his brother David Lee Bradburn. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Bradburn; his children, Beverly Britton (John), David Bradburn, Beth Bradburn and Denise Jhant (Michael); his grandchildren, Nicholas Reep, Whitney Reep (Matthew Green), Wesley Campbell, Kyle Jhant and Andrea Padgett (Eddie); his great grandchildren, Lincoln and Emilia; his sisters, Susan Hemphill (John) and Marianne Bradburn; and his siblings-in-law, Vonnie Hensley and Mark Hensley (Beth).
A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to one of the following organizations, McDowell Technical Community College Foundation – Wayne Bradburn Fund.
